You would think that it was invented in Korea, but actually the beauty balm was formulated by a German dermatologist, Dr. Christine Schrammek in the s, who used the cream to protect and provide natural light coverage for the sensitive skin of patients who had just undergone laser treatments and surgery. It was made popular in Korea a few years ago, when a famous actress got into a car accident and had to have her face surgically reconstructed.
In just a matter of weeks, her skin was glowing and she became more beautiful than she was before the accident. She, of course, attributed her new beauty to the BB cream, and unintentionally started a growing trend across Asia, mesmerizing practically every woman who have tried it.
It is available in Flawless White brightens skin and reduces dark spots and Age Miracle an anti-aging solution that reduces wrinkles and fine lines. February 27, March 4, This is it! The final event of the year for TRESemme.
It felt great to have our opinions heard and not just have to show up that night. What a night it was! So many of our friends came out to celebrate with us. The party was overflowing with champagne, delicious food and outstanding music—it was such an amazing way to end the year!
Of course, an hour before the event I was already backstage checking out what was going on. I surveyed the gowns the models were going to wear for the fashion show and found the designs made by top designers JC Buendia, Francis Libiran, Jun Escario and Furne One.
Before dinner was cocktails and loads of it. So happy many of my friends especially my husband were able to come and support me for the event. And after a lot of mingling and drinking , dinner was served! This was probably my favorite part. The food was sooooo good! Once we were all introduced, everyone got settled into their seats for the fashion show. Music that night was by Robbie Mananquil and Nyko Maca.
Really awesome sets by both musicians, especially when they got together and played towards the end!! The rest of the evening was fun and fabulous. We ate and drank well, and were with good company.
My husband and I. Love this dress I wore, btw. It was by Rhett Eala. Before the night came to an end, Mond raised a toast to the successful year that was and the new year that is to come. Expect more fashion events from TRESemme! December 20, March 3, And as part of its yearlong celebration, the oldest luxury hotel in the Philippines put together the most glamorous event.
He pulled it off beautifully. I covered the event for web series: TRESemme All Access and saw for myself just how exquisitely designed and intricately embellished each gown was. It was his take on the Filipiniana dress and he did such a great job making it look modern, yet still so elegant. My gown for that evening was by Chris Diaz. Cocktails were served before the show, and all around us were past designs of Francis.
The train of this gown is just beautiful. This fan-shaped design is so Francis Libiran. His work is always so architectural. This black and white design is one of my favorites. I love how Francis does contrast and illusion. This red gown reminds me of Anne Curtis.
I am quite sure she wore this once before, or at least a similar design. Another one of this designs I love. The embellishment on this one is just amazing. This one is my absolute favorite. The black embellished design on sheer fabric is just genius. This next set looks amazingly sheer and still with graphic lines running across it. The next set of designs look like they are made of water.
Beautiful, the way they move. I absolutely love the movement of these dresses. And that belt is perfection. November 14, March 3, It was still very fun though! Jing uses a hairdryer diffuser, which helps prevent frizz and flyaways. Love your gowns, ladies! October 31, March 3, Search for:. My makeup was by Bobby Carlos, hair by Ogie Rayel. It was just hard to grow it back, and it was an everyday war with fly-aways. Thank you to the inventors of hair straightener. But of course, everyday use of the straightener caused my hair to dry and be brittle even with heat protection.
So in when I arrived in the Philippines, I took advantage of the cheap hair salon prices. I have my hair cut regularly, and style it the way I wanted to.
But I kept it long after my hair grew out. It had been awhile since I lived in the Philippines and I was afraid of being too liberated compared to other Filipinas. It was at a length that is normal and at a color that does not differ too much from the usual. I kept it that way until the my hair proved to be high-maintenance and boring.
I colored it too many times and even bleached it to get that Ombre look. It was red, but not Yeng Constantino red. It just turned red when light shone on it. So instead of not being able to get into the school, I changed the color that same night.
But for my graduation photos, I dyed my hair back to black and kept it that way until recently. The heat and stress was getting to me and I could not take it out on anything. Too broke to actually go all out on shopping, and too fat to take it out on food. My hair was my only way to go, so I got it cut into a bob. Then it got longer, so I got it cut again. It took a lot of thinking and research where to have it cut. I read some salon reviews to avoid making the mistake.
YES they were very very expensive. I called them up and only 1 stylist available and the only vacant slot is at 6pm. Yes, its not by Jing Monis himself, but since they are all trained by him anyway, I decided to go for it. I did have a love and hate hate relationship with it for the first few hours.
But now that I am home and it still looks the same, I just love it! I had my haircut done by Rigel Tedor for php. I gave php tip and 50php for the assistant. Not too shabby huh! Hello Chai!
