Still,handsome Sam is still watchable and worthy of our respect as he does not seem uncomfortable with his gray hairs or his wrinkles. Very anti-Hollywood. Of the ensemble cast, I really enjoyed J. Simmons who seems to have put most of the food on the table career-wise by playing nasties especially in OZ as well as disaffected authority figures, was refreshing as George, an everyman with a simpleness that was most enjoyable.
In closing, I think I would have liked the movie better if they had given proper treatment to the depressive issues affecting Charlie, Sam Elliott's character.

Because this show is shot in Hawai'i, the scenery is spectacular. It will make you all the angrier that not more was done with the writing, casting, and scripts. The acting is passable, but the music is sappy, the stories are predictable, and the casting is well, to be kind, extremely uninspired. This could easily have been the Disney Channel does jungle medicine with high schoolers. I can guarantee you that it is only a matter of time before one of the "doctors" has to land an airplane due to an accident with the pilot.
Off the Map was definitely one of the best Doctor shows that i have seen and it is a dissapointment that we wont be able to see this show in the future. ABC should of advertised better. I just got done watching the show on netflix and stayed up to 2am watching this show.
I had started watching this show on the very first night. I figured it was a great replacement for anyone that watched and enjoyed the t. Although it was not held within a hospital I thought the storyline was great and it indeed left you wanting more. After the medevac helicopter crashes in the jungle, the team must jump into action to save the lives of their patients and the pilots, while Ryan searches for a missing girl and Lily learns a shocking secret that Mateo's been keeping.
S1, Ep8. Lily and Dr. Cole rescue three brothers trapped in an abandoned gold mine, while Mina learns a life changing lesson during a native birth ritual.
S1, Ep9. A water taxi crash leaves Ben and Tommy to tend to patients out in the field and Lily with a gut wrenching decision, while Ryan and Mina treat one of the city's most irritating ex-pats.
