Password recovery. Despian Quaeritis — Yu-Gi-Oh! Allure of Darkness — Yu-Gi-Oh! Throwback Thursday Kingof Lullaby. Mystical Space Typhoon: We end this week off with the biggest example of powercreep in the game today, Mystical Space Typhoon. When it first came out, it was very powerful to take out any defense or prevent your opponent from mounting offense with powerful Equip Spells. It was even Limited at one stage. When a Field Spell Card has been active for at least one turn, it cannot be destroyed by the effect of a Quick-Spell Card on either side of the field.
For the first time in a long time, Duelists can play 3 Mystical Space Typhoons! Pendulum Monster Cards are a new kind of card that blurs the line between Monsters and Spells! They can be Summoned as monsters to attack or defend, or you can activate them as Spell Cards in your Pendulum Zones to activate extra special abilities and allow you to Pendulum Summon! Within Monsters , separate into: good effect ones, strong ones and somewhat useless ones.
For Spell and Trap , separate into: Useful, support and not useful. Things to look out for regarding Monsters: For a level 4, if it has around atk or def, they are strong. With Monster Effects, what is useful?
Spells, what is useful? What is Spell support? These are Spell cards that helps you search through your deck, or do amazing things with your Monsters.
Only use them if you have the right Monster line up. They are usually very tricky to get the balance right, so do test out different Monster line-up vs. Support cards.
Trap, what is useful? For Support? Same as for Spells, things like Limit Reverse can be amazing to get to use Rescue Cat again, return from the different dimension can win a game instantly for you.
So when building a deck, first have about of your best cards, roughly 50 monsters, 30 spells and 20 traps. Including straight one for one search cards e. Do a similar mix for Tuners. That is essentially the idea behind the gadget decks. So long as you control no face-up cards, you can activate it. Lightning Storm has two effects, with one that destroys all Attack Position Monsters on the opponent's field and the other to destroy all backrow instead. Having such a versatile effect on a card is fantastic, and since you can use it as soon as your turn begins.
It's rare for a backrow removal card to have more than one effect, and Lightning Storm is one of the best that's still legal. Harpie's Feather Duster has spent many years being banned and limited, with the card currently being limited. At no cost at all, Harpie's Feather Duster destroys all Spell and Trap cards on the opponent's field.
Such a powerful effect with no downside is what made Harpie's Feather Duster so good it had to be restricted. Other cards with this field wiping capability generally have a cost or activation requirement, but not Harpie's Feather Duster. It's one of the most well-known backrow removal cards in the game's history, and one of the best.
The only completely banned card on this list, Heavy Storm is one of the best backrow removal cards the game has ever seen. It has no activation requirement and can destroy all Spell and Trap cards on the field. If you don't have any cards on your side of the field, the downside of it destroying your own cards won't even come up. In some cases, it isn't even a downside, as some Spell and Trap cards like to be destroyed.
Heavy Storm is so powerful it has been on the banlist since and likely won't come off anytime soon. Next: Yu-Gi-Oh!
